Steps to become a NEXA Mortgage Loan Originator

1) Have a NMLS # and have passed the licensing exam

2) Complete the MLO Sign-Up Form Below

NEXA Pay & Fees

NEXA MLO's have control over their compensation plan and how they price their loans.  The typical compensation plan has a top commission payout of 2.75% of the loan amount, although you can choose a lower percentage so that you can offer more competitive rates.

A portion if your commission is shared with NEXA, however there are multiple opportunities  for you to get 100% of your commission, less taxes and any fees that may apply.

Because NEXA offers unlimited pay and lets you keep the bulk of your commission, you are responsible for all costs associated with your employment.  There is a $80 monthly fee to cover your essential technology services provided by outside companies.  THIS FEE IS WAIVED FOR YOUR FIRST 3 MONTHS. After that the fee will be deducted from your loan commissions. We are working on reducing or eliminating this fee so it may not apply in the near future.

You are also responsible for any additional services, tools, or marketing programs you choose to use. NEXA provides discounted services that you are able to purchase, or you can use almost any other service you want.

NEXA Academy

We offer a training program for loan officers transitioning from retail lending which includes an assigned mentor to help you successfully   pivot to brokering loans and independence . Your mentor is available via phone, text, email and Zoom.  Training is done via zoom so you can work from anywhere.  Training includes:

  • Mortgage Brokering Basics

  • Loan Products & Loan Types

  • NEXA Loan Originating Technology & Systems

  • Working with Lenders & Mortgage Processors

  • Marketing, Advertising, & Social Media

  • Working with clients and prospects

  • How to leverage NEXA resources

There is no fee for the academy, but a portion of your commission for your first 3 loans will be shared with your instructors.  After you close your 3rd loan you graduate from the academy and will receive your full commissions.  You can optionally choose to do 6 or more loans with the academy if you want extra assistance.
